It keeps its members and the broader industry informed of industry trends and technical expertise and renders specialized services ranging from soil science to viticulture, agricultural economics and transformation and development. ORGANISATIONAL DESIGN- Vinpro and the South African Liquor Brandowners’ Association (SALBA) liaise closely with regard to advocacy with Government, civil society and industry. Vinpro also collaborates with the business units SAWIS, WINETECH, WoSA and the SA Wine Industry Transformation Unit.

South African Liquor Brand Owners Association: SALBA (South African Liquor Brand Owners Association) is a non-profit organisation, established in September 2005, and our sole objective is to represent our members, who are, manufacturers and distributors of liquor products in the liquor industry of South Africa, on issues of common interest. We play a key role in managing and coordinating industry initiatives to combat the illicit trade in alcohol. SALBA brings together key stakeholders from industry and government to address an issue that inherently presents a dual challenge to government and industry, depriving our fiscus of much needed revenue while putting consumers at risk with potentially hazardous concoctions.
  11. SA Wine Industry Information and Systems (SAWID): SAWIS purpose is to assist the wine industry by turning data into information that helps turn challenges into opportunities.   14. Wine and Agricultural Ethical Trade Association (WIETA): WIETA drives a pro-active world-class and sustainable ethical trade Programme for the South African wine industry and aligned sectors. WIETA is also a globally recognized ethical auditing body registered with the Global Social Compliance Programme (GSCP). WIETA is a multi-stakeholder, representing both the interests of trade unions, civil society groupings, wine brands and their producers. This places WIETA in a unique position to actively promote fair working conditions within the wine industry and to provide a platform for dialogue around ethical trade.
